I am Jakita Owensby Thomas. I am a Black Grantwriter from Atlanta and a Ph.D., educator, and tech activist. I have a unique perspective because I previously was awarded over $2MM in grant funding, bootstrapped three successful companies, and received a commendation from President Barack Obama for my grant-supported research.

Most people don’t know that I’m also interested in and love writing music and scripts, signing, painting, and watching movies with my family.
